Mechanism Of Action
Chelates copper ions situated within the binuclear active center of tyrosinase, preventing oxidation of dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA) into melanin polymers.

Side Effects
Can cause contact dermatitis, erythema, stinging, and photo-sensitization; prone to oxidative yellowing in formulations.
